Yapaia Satellite Beta
Just say where to.
A small voice speaker for your motorhome – on an inexpensive ESP32 board, set up entirely through Home Assistant.
- Voice input with two microphones
- Announcements and music through the speaker
- Your own wake word like “Yapaia”
- As many satellites as you have corners
Hands free, mind free
While driving, you do not tap around on screens. With Yapaia Satellite you simply say „Fahre mich nach Magdeburg“ (take me to Magdeburg) – and Yapaia Go calculates the route. Or ask about the weather, switch the lights, or get your arrival time read out.
What’s inside
| Hardware | AI-Thinker ESP32 Audio Kit V2.2 (A436) with two microphones, amplifier and six buttons – for a few euros. |
| Voice in | The microphones listen; recognition is done by Home Assistant’s voice assistant. |
| Voice out | Answers, announcements and music through the attached speaker. |
| Wake word | In Home Assistant – including your own, like “Yapaia” – or directly on the device. |
| Buttons and light | Talk, mute, louder, quieter, stop. The LED shows when it is listening. |
Several satellites
One in the cab, one in the over-cab bed, one outside under the awning: every satellite is a device of its own. The Yapaia integration finds them all and tells the other modules – so Go can make an announcement on all of them or just on one.
